We provide 2 options for certified classroom instruction for those teens that need to meet the DMV mandated 36 period requirements: 

A 36 period “in-class” course that is taught directly by an experienced certified instructor.

An “ON-LINE” self paced program that meets all DMV mandates.

We also provide an 8 hour Recertification Course for those trying to get their permit but need additional assistance.

We offer driver-training programs to all areas of the peninsula. We can accommodate students in both classroom and / or behind-the-wheel setting   . 


All of our instructors are formally trained i.a.w Va. Department of Education requirements. They are experienced, licensed, bonded, and certified by DMV. O’Neill’s Driving School is inspected by DMV annually and all instructors are required to have an annual FBI background check. All of our vehicles are inspected annually by DMV and have required instructor assist equipment, and other safety equipment.

We provide a Driver Improvement Clinic for those who need to update their awareness, reduce points or may need to meet employment, insurance, DMV or court requirements. 


We provide “ Behind The Wheel ” training for teenagers that need to complete the DMV mandate for 7 days, 14 periods of training with a certified instructor. We also offer “ Behind The Wheel ” private lessons for adults that need to gain experience before going to DMV for their final road test.


Virginia DMV and O'Neill's Driving School recommends everyone to register for the donor program.
